About The Position

This position is for a Security Representative (Staff) within the Security & Emergency Services (SES) organization at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (LM Aero) in Palmdale, CA. The incumbent serves as the Security Education, Training and Awareness (SETA) Lead for the site. The SETA Lead supports education and training briefings, notifications, and reporting metrics for the program. This role is the Foreign‑Travel reporting focal point for Palmdale, confirming that foreign travel is reported and documented in accordance with government requirements. Key responsibilities include but not limited to; using Security‑specific software/databases to track compliance, interviewing employees to ensure their Personnel Security Questionnaire (PSQ) is completed accurately, and handled in a timely manner, and that all foreign contacts are reported accurately. Interfaces with external government representatives and internal customers as required supporting the Security Administration Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and assisting with fingerprinting, badge/ID office operations, and collateral visits as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience with Personnel Security
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
  • Experience with requirements of NISPOM and DoD Special Access Program Security Manual volume 2
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP access.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Experience working with SESIDS, SIMS and DISS.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing DoD Security Policies including 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM), Manual 5205.07 and ICD 705.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with senior level internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate and present intelligent, decisive and risk-managed security recommendations and decisions.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
