Job Description As a Security Protector - Commercial Driver in West Palm Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and communicate clearly while delivering a customer-focused presence. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Possess a security guard card
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies, and by assisting with access control and directions as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify irregular conditions.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site staff and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate observations promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
