The position involves preventing unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other criminal activities while providing security and safety to employees and others. The role requires patrolling assigned areas by vehicle or foot, controlling access at gates, doors, and properties, and enforcing security regulations, policies, procedures, protocols, and programs. The individual will investigate and resolve security-related issues, provide security during special events, and direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Additionally, the role includes responding to routine and emergency circumstances, providing armed response to critical incidents such as workplace violence, active shooter incidents, and bomb threats. The position requires exercising judgment while complying with federal, state, and local regulations, interacting with law enforcement and first responders, and promoting a safety environment by reporting hazards. The job may require flexible hours and overtime, and candidates must not have been dishonorably discharged from the United States armed services.
