You will work closely with the Government Technologies, Johnson Controls Branch offices, Johnson Controls Business Operations, clients, and subcontractors to ensure completion of project while maintaining project profitability. The Project Manager is a full-time position which manages individual installation projects and ensures overall project success. Oversees design, procurement, installation, integration, testing, training, and document preparation efforts. Works under the direction of the Program Manager. How you will do it Leads installation projects by assigning, coordinating, and tracking work Ensures appropriate project staffing Ensures project quality and timeliness of efforts Manages on-site day-to-day activities to include directing employees and subcontractors on assigned projects, participation in and documentation of all on-site project meetings as well as acting as main contact in negotiation of change orders with all parties. Manages and tracks installation project finances Maintains all records of project status, changes, material flow and other control records as well as required reports, both internal and external. Furnish and maintain all related project Confirms installations are complete Provide to Technical Services and Engineering management any technical feedback that may improve productivity and/or quality engineering design methods. Establish, maintain, and foster effective communications between customer, engineering, technical support and other related on-site construction trades. Coordinates pre‐installation Residential Security Assessments (RSAs) Coordinates with the customers on‐site personnel Provide the daily functional and budgetary management of an assigned installation project (s). Ensure billing for all installation jobs and monthly services are accurate and delivered on time within the SLA Provide weekly status reports to the customer on all open projects Provide supervision and monitoring of construction schedules and coordination of technical work from start up, to check out, commissioning, and final project acceptance. Communicates with and provides updates to all customer stakeholders Creates and distributes installation packages for the local Installation Team Manager (ITM) Participates in project kick‐off calls Tracks inventory for new jobs and posts to the customer-provided SharePoint site Orders security equipment Assists in developing and maintaining equipment documentation and training materials Assists in developing the Programs processes and procedures Assist sales representative in the proposal and preparation phase for jobs to ensure close out profitability What we look for Required Education Bachelors or Associate degree in a related field; i.e., as Electrical Engineering, Security Management, Building Construction, and or Mechanical Engineer (preferred). Must be able to obtain and maintain PMP certification within 1 year of hire.
