About The Position

As a Security Professional Utilities Patrol in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a utilities environment, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure atmosphere by patrolling designated areas and monitoring for any security-related incidents. Your presence will help to deter unwanted activity and promote a sense of security for all individuals on site. This position is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as you conduct routine patrols throughout the location. You will also interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service while responding to inquiries and assisting with security-related matters. Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required for driving positions.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the utilities location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites.
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education.
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams.
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service.
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise.
