Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate is required.
  • Possession of a guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a residential community access point.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive access control practices and clear communication.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around community entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
