As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet visitors and tenants, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will conduct routine rounds, document activity, and coordinate with site personnel to help reduce incidents while delivering a people-first experience. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Must possess guard card
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
- Control entry and exit points by checking identification, issuing and tracking visitor credentials, managing keys and/or access cards, and documenting access activity per post orders.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems and report irregular activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and disturbances, and complete required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or property damage.
