About The Position

As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 21+ years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
  • Experience in CCTV Monitoring and 1+ year of security experience
  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and public agency partners as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, parking areas, access points and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access and activity in assigned areas, help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited behavior, and direct individuals to appropriate checkpoints or services.
  • Complete timely written reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts per post orders.
