Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or incidents.
Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
Assist in controlling access to designated areas, verifying identification as required by site policies.
Support emergency response efforts by communicating promptly with appropriate personnel and following established protocols.
Document all security-related activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal's reporting procedures.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions within the healthcare environment.
