About The Position

As a Security Professional – Telecom Screener Patrol in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for all. Your role will involve conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of a team committed to reliability, innovation, and acting with integrity, while putting people first. Requirements

  • Previous access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Previous loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help control entry and maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Document and report any unusual activities, incidents, or security-related concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, adapting to changing conditions within the tech, media, and telecom environment.
