Job Description As a Security Professional - Telecom Dispatch Full-Time in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a leading technology and media location, you will play a vital role in monitoring and coordinating security-related activities to help maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include handling communications, coordinating with onsite teams, and supporting access control procedures. You will remain visible to help deter incidents and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dispatch systems to monitor and coordinate security-related activities throughout the location, maintaining communication with on-site personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant information to the appropriate parties.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
  • Track and document events and incidents as required, maintaining detailed and accurate records of activities.
  • Assist in managing access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities and coordinate with local authorities or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Assist with regular and random patrol coordination around the business and perimeter, communicating any observed irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
