About The Position

As a Security Professional - Retail Front Desk Patrols in McLean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a premier retail location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and assisting with access control to help maintain a secure environment. Your role involves verifying credentials, managing guest check-ins, and providing outstanding customer service while utilizing computer or tablet systems. You will represent Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach, contributing to a welcoming and secure atmosphere for all guests and staff.

Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, guests, and employees in a professional and courteous manner at the front desk of the retail location.
  • Monitor access to the premises by verifying identification and maintaining visitor logs as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
  • Assist with security-related procedures, including checking bags or packages as directed by client policies.
  • Communicate promptly with property management, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by answering questions and offering directions or information about the location.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific policies and Allied Universal protocols.
