About The Position

As a Security Professional - Retail Front Desk Full-Time in McLean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a high-end retail location, you will be the first point of contact for guests and staff, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere while supporting security-related protocols. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and assisting with visitor inquiries, all while providing outstanding customer service. By maintaining a visible presence, you help to deter potential security-related incidents and contribute to a positive experience for everyone in the environment. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences at the front desk.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or site management.
