About The Position

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and offering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the retail location.
• Verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or vendors with access-related inquiries.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail environment and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or irregularities as required by site policies.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence at access points to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
