As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for a residential community. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols throughout the location, and remaining highly visible to provide reassurance to residents and guests. By delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication, you will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access points to the residential property, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
  • Assist residents, guests, and visitors by providing customer service and information as needed.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns within the residential community.
