As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence at a residential location. Your role involves monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment for residents and guests. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into residential locations.
Verify identification and credentials of residents, guests, and vendors according to site-specific policies.
Provide customer service to residents and visitors by responding to inquiries and assisting with directions or access needs.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings and the perimeter to observe and report any unusual activities.
Document and report security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or hazards to the appropriate parties.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during emergency response activities.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns within the residential community.
