About The Position

As a Security Professional - Residential Access Control Patrol in Travelers Rest, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and patrolling a residential community. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a welcoming environment while you interact with residents and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of individuals and vehicles within the residential community.
  • Verify identification and credentials of persons seeking entry, following established guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the community and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or security-related concerns according to Allied Universal procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following site protocols and instructions from management.
  • Maintain a visible presence at access control points to provide assistance and information to residents and visitors.
