About The Position

As a Security Professional - Media Patrol Full-Time in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for clients and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols support a welcoming atmosphere while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while on patrol.
  • Support access control procedures and monitor entry points as required by site-specific policies.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment within a tech, media, and telecom setting.
