About The Position

As a Security Professional - Hotel Access Control in CARMEL, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Allied Universal team member assigned to a renowned hotel and resort location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated areas. Your presence will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff, while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your duties.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the hotel and resort location.
  • Monitor and control access to designated areas, verifying identification and credentials as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disturbances.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to company and client guidelines.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including guiding guests and staff during incidents.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with hotel and resort staff to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming environment.
