As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a critical role in helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet; this is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with healthcare staff as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues and report any irregularities observed.
  • Assist with enforcing facility policies related to access control and provide clear information to employees, patients, and visitors regarding site protocols.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activities, or emergencies to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when necessary, in accordance with established procedures.
