As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required by the client.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and observe for unusual activity.
Monitor and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
Communicate professionally with the public and local authorities as needed while upholding the standards of Allied Universal.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities and/or incidents that occur during shifts.
Assist with access control and visitor management to support site-specific requirements.
Remain alert to changes in the environment and adjust patrol routes as necessary to address unique aspects of the location.
