As a Screener with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing an exceptional presence. This is a driving position, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Applicants must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as mandated by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the government location.
Screen individuals entering the premises to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized access, following established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site policies.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or emergency responders as needed.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Complete required documentation and/or logs related to screening activities and incidents.
