As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal at a major retail location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and foster a welcoming environment through outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will play a key role in supporting the client's operations by providing a reliable presence and responding to security-related matters with agility, reliability, and integrity, while embodying Allied Universal's caring culture and commitment to teamwork.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including response activities during emergencies when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner at the retail location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible security-related presence.
Observe and report any suspicious behaviors or activities to store management and/or law enforcement as directed.
Assist customers, visitors, and employees with directions or information as needed while maintaining a professional Allied Universal presence.
Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring entry and exit points and reporting any unusual activity.
Complete required logs and reports documenting activities, incidents, and/or observations during patrols.
