As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the campus, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service through clear and courteous communication. This position may require driving as part of your patrol duties.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the perimeter and designated areas within the educational environment.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns according to established protocols.
• Support a welcoming environment by assisting visitors and students with directions and general inquiries.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through visible patrols and attentive presence.
