As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage distribution location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees and visitors with inquiries related to access procedures and site-specific policies.
• Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site guidelines, including responding to alarms and access control issues.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or access violations to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific policies and Allied Universal protocols.
