As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a chemical and petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to support a secure environment, and using technology to manage access points. You will interact with employees and visitors, offering assistance and clear communication. Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying the credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Assist with the implementation of site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by addressing inquiries and offering guidance as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activity according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as appropriate for the location, including chemical or petrochemical environments.
