Requirements

• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the chemical or petrochemical location, verifying credentials and authorizations for personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs and concerns specific to the chemical or petrochemical environment.
• Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and follow all required procedures for working in a chemical or petrochemical location.
