As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This position requires both an armed guard license and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for driving and patrolling assigned areas. Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report activities and incidents at the assigned location, documenting information according to Allied Universal guidelines.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity within the retail environment.
• Interact with store personnel and/or customers to provide assistance and respond to inquiries as needed.
• Carry and be prepared to use authorized defensive equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies, when necessary.
