Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, screen visitors, and maintain logs of arrivals, departures, and/or authorized access activity.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or identify security-related issues.
  • Communicate with staff, visitors, and public personnel regarding access requirements, restricted areas, and/or site rules while supporting orderly daily operations.
