About The Position

As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Specialist 21+ in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter potential threats and enhance security-related awareness.
• Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to established protocols.
• Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public at the location.
