Requirements

Possess a current and valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal standards, providing customer service to individuals at the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed positions.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual circumstances.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
Complete documentation and reports accurately for all security-related activities and incidents encountered during shifts.
Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures for government environments.
Remain alert and observant at all times, watching for potential threats or unusual situations.
Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and the public while maintaining a secure environment.
