Requirements

  • Possess a current and valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal standards, providing customer service to individuals at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed positions.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
  • Complete documentation and reports accurately for all security-related activities and incidents encountered during shifts.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures for government environments.
  • Remain alert and observant at all times, watching for potential threats or unusual situations.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and the public while maintaining a secure environment.
