As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including those requiring an armed presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures and collaborating with healthcare staff and local authorities.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and/or security-related concerns within the healthcare location.
