Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas according to procedures required for government properties.
• Remain alert for unusual activity or security-related concerns throughout the assigned area, promptly reporting and documenting incidents as required.
• Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary, supporting incident response activities in accordance with government standards.
• Maintain a professional presence while carrying out duties, upholding the standards and expectations of Allied Universal and the government location.
