About The Position

As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This role requires carrying a concealed weapon and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. Requirements

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other security-related equipment as required for the post.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during critical situations.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and procedures while on duty.
