About The Position

As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol Baton in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state, county, or city regulations.
• Baton certification and handcuffing certification are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing conflict resolution skills.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for suspicious behavior.
• Identify and report security-related concerns or hazards found during patrols, escalating issues according to site protocols.
• Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors, providing assistance and information as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements for armed personnel within a government environment.
