Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Possess an active armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the location.
• Maintain detailed records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
• Assist visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and information.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when incidents arise as directed by site procedures.
