About The Position

As a Security Professional – Armed Government Center - Full Time in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and care. Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to site protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats within the government location.
• Interact with visitors, employees, and/or contractors in a professional manner while enforcing access control policies.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and/or activities as required by site procedures.
