As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment within a government location. Requirements

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
• Must possess a current armed guard card or license.
• Must have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
• State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with site and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Assist law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents and emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter disruptive or criminal behavior.
• Follow all site-specific protocols for handling weapons and maintaining readiness as an armed security professional.
