About The Position

As a Security Professional - Armed Corrections Patrol Driver in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a corrections location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for unusual conditions.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Interact with staff, visitors, and/or residents in a courteous and professional manner while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site protocols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
