Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license, or be willing to obtain one if required by local or state regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations related to the location in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the site and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior or activities, and report any security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials and maintaining awareness of those entering and exiting the location.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports on incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and client site policies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary to address incidents or provide assistance.
• Remain attentive and alert during assigned shifts to help to deter potential threats and uphold the security-related expectations of the location.
