As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling access points, conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, and maintaining a strong presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be expected to provide outstanding customer service, respond promptly to requests for assistance, and communicate clearly with both staff and visitors. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your duties.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma.
• Possess a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Verify identification and credentials to help maintain authorized access to designated areas.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees and visitors with security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and observe for irregularities.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related concerns and updates.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, following client and Allied Universal guidelines.
