As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Experience with x-ray screening is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activity observed during shifts.
• Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal and/or local authorities as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats within the logistics and distribution environment.
