As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials at a dynamic chemical or petrochemical location. Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the chemical or petrochemical location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access procedures and answering security-related questions.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures for access control, including the use of electronic systems and manual logs as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical or petrochemical environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate observed security-related issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal management.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by the location.
