About The Position

As a Security Professional Access Control Logistics in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment within a bustling logistics and distribution location. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Perform access control duties by monitoring and verifying the credentials of individuals entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location.
  • Assist with controlling the flow of vehicles and/or pedestrian traffic at entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by addressing questions and assisting with site entry protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any irregularities, security-related breaches, or unusual activity as observed during shifts.
  • Support emergency response activities and coordinate with site management and/or law enforcement as needed.
