About The Position

As a Security Professional - Access Control - Full Time in WEST POINT, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a strong presence. Your role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining detailed records, and supporting a secure environment for all personnel. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain order within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report any unusual activities, security-related incidents, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or client protocols.
