As a Security Professional - Access Control Driver - Full-Time in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control professional at Allied Universal within a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and visible presence. This is a driving post. You will deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity, working as part of a caring team that puts people first and values innovation in every aspect of your role.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out access control procedures and following site-specific policies at the chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical or petrochemical environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to observe and report any unusual conditions or activities.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.
