About The Position

The Security Practice Ambassador is responsible for providing a visible and supportive security presence at off-site practice locations. This role is essential in fostering a safer environment for staff and patients by conducting regular rounds, verifying secure areas, and interacting with local law enforcement at each of the various locations throughout the day. The ambassador serves as a key touchpoint for security-related information and support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license is required.
  • Must be able to be insured through Bronson’s insurance carrier.
  • Demonstrates competency and/or ability to learn computerized security technologies
  • Ability to maintain sound judgement, objectivity and professionalism in potentially stressful situations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adept at building trust and rapport with individuals at all organizational levels to facilitate open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and travel to multiple off-site locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular rounds at all off-site practice locations to ensure safety and security.
  • Facilitate safe clinic and practice environments by addressing staff’s security concerns and providing support.
  • Verify that secure areas are properly maintained and access is controlled.
  • Visually inspect buildings and surrounding property for any security issues.
  • Share security information and guidance with staff through security touchpoints and attending huddles and/or department meetings.
  • Support practices during difficult patient interactions to ensure a safe environment.
  • Leverage de-escalation techniques to defuse stressful situations and employ patient management techniques as needed, in response to workplace violence.
  • Accurately document rounding and daily activity reports.
  • Complete security incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a visible security presence to deter potential threats.
  • Interact and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.
  • Maintain annual department continuing education requirements, along with system CBLs.
  • Maintain understanding and knowledge of security related operations at all locations
