About The Position

The Security Police Officer at Honeywell is responsible for enforcing security measures and rules to protect the Kansas City Plant facilities, classified materials, and personnel. This role involves maintaining the physical security of the premises, conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• More than three years of education or progressive work experience in armed forces security, military police, or law enforcement.
• Basic reading ability and compliance with DOE firearms and physical fitness standards.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Background suitable for obtaining a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Enforce security measures and rules for the protection of facilities and personnel.
• Patrol and protect the facilities by foot and/or vehicle to detect or prevent illegal activities.
• Report and respond to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate force as needed.
• Enforce access control for personnel and vehicular traffic entering and exiting the complex.
• Maintain and update visitor logs and records of deliveries and contractors.
• Identify and address potential security, property, or safety concerns.
• Perform escort duties as necessary.
• Prevent and report violations of security and safety rules.
• Respond to protective alarm signals and suspicious activities.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned weapons and knowledge of security orders and applicable laws.
• Enforce parking lot rules and conduct activities in a safe manner.
