Job Description As a Security Officer - Medical Dispatch in Cumberland, RI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in a healthcare location, you will be the hub for security-related communications, supporting officers and staff with professional service and clear updates. You will monitor activity, coordinate responses to calls and alarms, document incidents, and use computer-based tools to track posts and requests. At Allied Universal, you will bring agility, reliability, and integrity to a caring, team-focused environment that helps to deter security-related incidents.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or patients by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and security-related protocols, including directing calls and requests to the appropriate resources.
  • Operate the dispatch center by monitoring radios, phones, alarms, and/or video systems, prioritizing incoming calls for service, and dispatching personnel to incidents and routine requests.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating communications with on-site teams and emergency responders as directed by post orders.
  • Maintain accurate logs and incident documentation, including time-stamped dispatch records, notifications made, and actions taken, and relay pertinent information to supervisors and site leadership.
  • Support a visible presence through coordination of regular and random patrol assignments around the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity while working conditions may vary by location.
