About The Position
The position involves conducting proactive, high visibility preventive patrols of Lipscomb University main campus and any off-site facilities, including all buildings and grounds associated with Lipscomb Academy. The role requires responding to dispatched calls for service and assistance, which may include medical calls, building locks/unlocks, vehicle assistance, maintenance department assistance, traffic control, safety concerns, on-campus vehicle crashes, and suspicious activity. The officer will also be responsible for conducting scheduled locks/unlocks of buildings and/or rooms across the university campus, observing and investigating any unusual or suspicious circumstances, and enforcing parking regulations on campus. Additionally, the officer will work with the Parking Coordinator to manage parking spaces for scheduled events and participate in community relations activities as directed by the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
